Other Civil War Resources

Illinois in the Civil War
No battlefields, but lots of camps, prisons, cemeteries, regimental records and flags, and the debates that defined the Republican Party
Indiana in the Civil War
Over 3,000 Indianans died at Chickamauga. Read about them at this excellent site.
The Unofficial Visitors Guide to Gettysburg
Shelby Foote called Gettysburg, "the place where the War was lost." That's a bit extreme in my opinion, but it was still a vital and decisive battle. This site has a wealth of information about the site, the events that occured there, and what's there today.
Vermont In The Civil War
Only one battle, but lots of participants.
